Spirit: I've been in a similar-ish situation to your example: Girl (HB10) who I took on as a temp and ended up sleeping with for quite a while called me one night distressed as her BF (ex-forces/oil rig worker) had left her in a bad area of town. Although I'd already slept with her so she wasn't holding out in any way as such I didn't really consider this to be an issue at the time. As far as I was concerned she was stuck in a bad situation and she'd called me for help. She could have probably phoned quite a few friends for help so I guess you could view it in a few different ways:

1. She'd already been refused help from someone else
2. She thought I was a sucker who would actually come out and help
3. Out of everyone she knew - it was me she'd come to for help

...and so on, there are so many things/reasons why she phoned me. Anyways... I drove the 20-25 miles at 3am to pick her up. She was scared, upset, cold etc.. We drove back to my place chatting along the way - no patterns or asf stuff! To cut to the chase we got back to mine had sex, went to sleep, woke up in morning - did it again. So why did I go and pick her up? It wasn't because I thought I might get a lay out of it and I didn't question whether I was supplicating or not - I went because she genuinely needed help, I'll probably get slated for saying this but it was the `right` thing to do. I`d rather not have slept with her again & have her view me as an AFC than wake up the next morning to read in the paper than she`d been raped, attacked, murdered. Some things are more important than just getting your dick wet!

A good looking girl who was taking an italian class in college asked a friend of mine, who is Italian and also attends the same college, for help. He is the typical AFC, but he confessed to us that he'd definitely wanted to date her (and lay her). He spends about an hour or two every week helping her with her Italian homework and such. I don't know if he ever asked her out, but they never meet outside the tutorial sessions. A whole semester goes by. She passes her Italian class, and then immediately informs my AFC friend that she "has a boyfriend".
