What is wrong with me? 200 approaches no date?>break out of my introverted >shyness. These two above statements are incongruent. Trust me on this, coming from a REAL introvert - if you can do 200 approaches, shyness and introversion is NOT your problem. And if it ever was - consider it solved. No, you have a different problem. I don't think any of us can tell you exactly what that is over the Internet, but I can tell you, in a general sense, exactly what your problem is. You are overthinking this. How do I know? Because your closing ratio is terrible. Worse than average. A lot of this stuff is analagous to sales. In sales, it's basically a 10-to-1 ratio for just about everything. Except here, what you are "selling" is yourself. (Actually, all good salesmen know that the only product they ever have to sell is themselves, regardless of the merchandise being moved). So, for every 10 approaches, you should get at least one number. And for every 10 numbers, you should get at least one date. We could continue this on to say that, for every 10 dates, you should get at least one lay, but you stated your problem is "no dates", so we'll focus on that. Given the above math, every 100 approaches should AT LEAST result in one date. These are MINIMUMS; this is assuming you have no sales training (game) whatsoever. Obviously, the idea is to improve your ratios with experience. Given the above ratios, guys would have to do 1000 approaches to get laid one time (10 approaches, one number, 10 numbers, one date, 10 dates, one lay.) Equally obvious, most guys around here (and in general), do not have to talk to 1000 women to get laid. Though there could be worse things than talking to 1000 women, even if that's what it always took. And your numbers should be BETTER than average, not worse! You have the resources of ASF, plus whatever workshop you took. You should contact the people who gave the workshop, and tell them your sticking points; it's a fairly common practice, in other fields (such as Real Estate, for instance), that there is usually some ongoing "tech support" for workshop attendees after the event, usually for 6 months or something like that. Barring that, you should ask for your money back. Because whatever they taught you, doesn't seem to be working. Even the most average, of average frustrated chumps, should be able to get a date with 200 approaches. Your numbers are worse than AFC; they should be better. I say this not to insult you, but to try to help. With the numbers you posted, unless you have like arms growing out of your face or something, you are probably doing something wrong. There have been good posts, I think by TD, on calibration vs. internalization. And how the two are alternating to one another. The idea is, read and learn for a while, then "forget" it all, and go out, and learn by doing. Then, come back, read and learn more, calibrate based on field feedback. Wash, rinse, repeat. This is how mastery (with any skillset) is practiced. Learn, do, learn, do. Try to implement a methodology similar to this. You state you've read a lot of archives; whether you realize it or not, that shit is sinking into your subconscious. So, when you are in the field, PURPOSELY forget all of it; forget about BL, EC, opener structure, routines, etc., and just GO with it. Say whatever comes naturally. Hell, even if you have to fall back on boring fluff shit like "so are you from around here, have you lived here long?", would be better than just stalling out and standing their like a weirdo. If you weird a chick out, they'll blow you out every time. Sorry for the above length, I type very fast, and sometimes I just type what I'm thinking as I'm thinking it, so you just got my "stream of consciousness" thoughts on the subject. Hope something of it is helpful to you. ====== |
