If a girl says "I have a boyfriend", I know that I fucked up and made her feel threatened. This is a reflex answer from women who are shy scared girls. If they really HAVE a girlfriend, it is likely they feel comfortable with that and so will appreciate attention from others. Afterall, she feels secure with her relationship so she won't just blurt out "I have a boyfriend." If a girl says this, she unlikely HAS a boyfriend but she DOES have a fear of you that must be disarmed.
